Pre-Season Mania

Things are in the manic phase as we approach the last few days before re-opening the house for the 2008 season.

While most things are on schedule and going to plan, I do have a slight concern, with just over a week until opening, at not having found anyone to run the tea room by this stage.

Who's good at making scones?

I reckon Scones live or die by the jam you use on them. My current favourite is Morello Cherry.

Nom nom nom.

This is serious.

As a serial house and garden visitor, I can confidently state that the interest and quality of the actual attraction pales into insignificance when compared with the tea room.

Even when I can't remember anything about the house, I can remember the scones/lunch/tea room.

And the toilets.

Hello, All!

Sorry I have been so tardy in replying to comments - I have had no time at all to myself in the run up to opening! Still, here we are, we opened, and we served tea and scones! Hurrah!
